Scholarships & Grants

The school offers different types of scholarships that the qualified student may avail of:

Entrance Scholarships

Entrance Scholarship consists of:

  1. 100% for Valedictorians;

  2. 50% for Salutatorian;

  3. 25% for First Honorable Mention to Eight h Honorable Mention; and

  4. 10% for Second to Eighth Honorable Mention

Discounts on tuition fees are available for Freshmen Honor students upon submission of Certification of Honors received duly signed by the High School Principal with school seal affixed upon enrollment. Entrance Scholarship is valid only for enrollment for First Year, First Semester.

Scholarship may be renewed from semester to semester should the student maintain an average grade of at least 1.50 and carry a minimum of 21 units or a full load

Sibling Discount

Sibling Discount is 10% discount on basic tuition fees of the brothers and sisters admitted for enrollment per semester/term. Only one of the siblings pays for the full amount; the rest gets the discount. The number of siblings who can avail of the discount is subject to availability of funds and according to the discretion of the school management.

NOTES: All discounts are computed based on total tuition fees only.

Academic Scholarship (College Scholarship)

Academic Scholarship is granted to deserving college students who have not been subjected to any disciplinary action and meet the following grades and load requirements earned the semester immediately preceding the semester of application.

APCAS Academic Scholars are called GRANTEES and are required to render SERVICE HOURS equivalent to their scholarship to be awarded to them. Scholarship shall be awarded only upon finishing the required service hours.

To qualify as College Scholar, the student must comply with the following academic requirements on a per semester basis and apply using the prescribed application form at the Registrar’s Office within ten (10) working days after the release of report cards:

  1. A student with an average grade of equal to or higher than 1.20 with no grade lower than 1.50 in any subject with regular load as indicated in the curriculum is awarded full tuition scholarship (100% tuition fee discount).

  2. A student with an average grade of equal or greater than 1.40 with no grade lower than 1.75 in any subject and with regular load as indicated in the curriculum is awarded a 50% tuition fee scholarship.

  3. A student with an average grade of equal or greater than 1.50 with no grade lower than 1.75 in any subject with regular load is awarded a 25% tuition scholarship. Both regular and irregular students who meet the grade requirements must carry a minimum load of 21 units or a full load as indicated in the curriculum of the program. OJT, VE and NSTP grades are not included in the computation of average grade. However, minimum grade requirements still apply.

Varsity Scholarship (based from Sports Committee Evaluation)

Volleyball
  1. 100% Tuition Fee Discount (First 6) of Team A

  2. 50% Tuition Fee Discount (remaining players of Team A)

  3. 25% Tuition Fee Discount (remaining players of Team B)

Basketball
  1. 100% Tuition Fee Discount (First 5) of Team A

  2. 50% Tuition Fee Discount (remaining players of Team A)

  3. 25% Tuition Fee Discount (remaining players of Team B)

For other sports program, the availability of scholarship grants is on a case to case basis and subject to approval of the President.

  • Scholarship Grant is good for the specific semester applied for only.
  • Discounts are computed based on total Tuition Fee only.

MARCOS G. ESTRELLA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Free tuition fee for the entire duration

The following guidelines govern the MGE scholarship program:

  1. A student applicant must have an average grade of at least 90% in the 4th year High School as reflected on his Form 138 or Report Card.

  2. He must pass the scholarship exam and the interview conducted by the Admission Office and Guidance Center.

  3. To be retained in the scholarship, a scholar must have an average grade of at least 1.50 and no grade lower than 2.0 every semester.

  4. A scholar must not be involved in any disciplinary problem. Any disciplinary action disqualifies the grantee from his scholarship.

    MGE Scholars are called GRANTEES and are required to render service hours, the number of hours is dependent on the type of scholarship applied by the student. Scholarship shall be awarded only upon finishing the required service hours.

  5. A scholar must carry the number units prescribed in the curriculum or a minimum load of 21 units with permission from the College President.

  6. Every semester all students must apply for scholarship evaluation.

RELEASE OF FINAL LIST OF SCHOLARS

The list of academic and MGE grantees shall be finalized by the end of the semester, once the list is approved by the President, late applicants, thou qualified, shall no longer be considered.
