About APCAS

APCAS is a private non-section stock institution duly organized under existing Philippine laws and duly recognized as an educational institution by the Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) with business address at A.H. Banzon St., Ibayo, City of Balanga, Philippines.

Its primary purpose is to discover and enhance the different aptitudes and interests of the individual student so as to equip him with skills necessary for productive endeavor and thus, prepare him for work in the real world and/or for further formal studies in higher education.

History

Since its beginning on February 1999, with plain guts and determination as weapons, Asia Pacific Academy of Bataan has grown from a rented four-storey building in San Jose, Balanga, Bataan to its current state.

Many notable achievements have occurred throughout its eighteen-year duration, beginning in School Year 1999-2000 when the academy began its operations, offering First to Third Year levels of High School with 231 students – more than good enough for a kick-off.

&emps; This early success resulted in moving to a brand new, permanent home of its own – the four-storey and the two-storey buildings at A.H. Banzon St., Ibayo, Balanga, Bataan on August 3, 2001.

School Year 2001-2002 has begun reflecting the institution’s ever-widening horizons when it started to offer its initial programs such as the four-year Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM); two-year Certificate in Hotel and Restaurant Management (CHRM); Complete Elementary, Pre-Elementary, and Secondary Education, making the name of the academy no longer applicable, thus the new name, Asia Pacific College of Advanced Studies, was born.

As students’ academic aspirations were taken into consideration, APCAS provided another instructional space – a two-storey College Building right behind the High School Building on September 16, 2002.

In School Year 2002-2003, APCAS has broadened its choice of programs, adding the four-year Bachelor of Arts in Communication (ABComm) and the four-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism (BST).

It was on the fifth year of its operations when APCAS became the very first private institution in Bataan to offer the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in School Year 2003-2004 with an influx of 289 enrollees for the first semester.

Realizing the need of competent and dedicated secondary school teachers, APCAS has offered the program Bachelor in Secondary Education since School Year 2005-2006.

No new course was offered in School Year 2007-2008. However, existing facilities were improved. As deemed integral to the quality education that APCAS has provided its students with, Computer Laboratory was upgraded and new units were purchased. The institution also funded an upgrade of the Speech Laboratory allowing for a potent venue for language speech improvement training.

An additional Multi-Purpose Hall was also constructed along with two new classrooms. Moreover, the school purchased a 2,102-square meter parcel of land for additional College Building in the near future.

In School Year 2008-2009, APCAS has continued proving its competence as it started to offer six new programs: Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep), two-year Computer Programming, and Certificate in Teaching.

Today, APCAS has not only added to its roster of program offerings Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration (BSCA), Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCrim), Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), Associate in Computer Technology (ACT), Certificate in Professional Teaching (CPT) for Secondary and Early Childhood Education, and Diploma in Culinary Arts (DCA) but it also offers the new K to 12 Curriculum of the Department of Education, thus, the birth of Grades 11 and12 last School Year 2016-2017.
